Valerie Thomelia Williams is an Operations Manager with Paul Edward’s Management and Consulting LLC (PEM). Valerie began her journey in the affordable housing industry in 2019 with a background as a Licensed Commercial Fire & Casualty Insurance Broker for over twenty-four years and a California Notary Public for nine years, that gives her the ability to work with a diverse group of people while meeting extreme deadlines.
Valerie started with PEM as a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Housing Specialist processing annual reexaminations and was later promoted to a Housing Administrator, managing the Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) Program for the Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco, including performing initial Housing Quality Standard Inspections. Valerie’s hard work and dedication led to over 900 EHV applicants successfully leasing making the EHV program fully utilized.
Valerie has attended certification training as an HCV Program Manager and most recently as a Hearing Officer Specialist. She performs the duties of a Hearing Officer for multiple Public Housing Agencies in Northern California contracted with PEM and she performs other duties as a VAWA Coordinator helping survivors with their housing protections under the Violence Against Women Act, while focusing on the PEM’s mission of providing specialized quality service at its highest level.
